We have some news! As building work is due to commence on the new Gympanzees Centre later this year, this Summer will be the last-ever Gympanzees Pop Up.
The Pop Up’s were always meant to be a temporary solution for us to gather feedback to develop the plans for a one-of-a-kind centre for disabled children and young people and now we need our team focused on raising the £8m needed to make it happen!
Over 141 days of Pop Ups from 2018 to the present, we’ve welcomed over 23,000 visitors who have enjoyed the unique, life-changing benefits of accessible fun and fitness. The Pop Ups have been incredibly successful, demonstrating a clear demand with attendance rates reaching 90% and an NPS score of 96.
Now is the time, however, families crucially deserve more than temporary Pop Ups. They need a place they can trust and rely upon all year round that is welcoming, safe, and fun and supports all their health and well-being needs.
98% of parents who visited the Pop Up’s said they saw the physical benefits for their child, imagine if families had access to Gympanzees world-class equipment all year round.
The Gympanzees Centre will make that happen.
Alongside fundraising to open the centre, we will continue running the Lending Library, supporting families by providing therapeutic and sensory equipment for use in their homes, and partnering with more schools, charities, and community groups.
We want to thank everyone who has attended the Pop Up’s over the last 6 years, filling out our questionnaires and helping us develop our plans. Thank you to all those who took part in case studies and or gave us quotes. We couldn’t have raised the funds to secure a building without you. Your feedback has led the way in every element of the design of the Gympanzees Centre, and we can’t wait to update you as the plans come together.
We’d also like to thank everyone who has got behind the Pop Ups, from those who volunteered in the cafe and reception to those who have leant us equipment. The last eight years would not have been possible without your support.
It may be the last Pop Up this Summer, but the countdown is on to June 2026.
